Our research commitment

85% of our spending is dedicated to research. We conduct frontier research and deploy it through a set of partnerships and products in the US and Europe, and soon across Asia.

It’s all about data representativeness

We allocate a large amount of resources to ensure data representativeness. This commitment involves rigorously gathering data for training that reflects the gender, ethnic, cultural, and geographical backgrounds of asset creators, the variety of asset types, and the actions and influences across 100+ years from tens of thousands of market influencers worldwide.

An illustration of the importance of data representativeness: auction results represent a fraction (less than 0.1%) of the data required to fully grasp the complex value dimensions of assets. Sole dependence on auction results narrowly focuses on liquidity, covering merely one dimension of value for only about 3,500 artists(0.78% of the artists globally).

Our focus on data representativeness is a necessity; it allows for precise and comprehensive analyses of multiple value dimensions for both illiquid and liquid assets, addressing speculative, mispricing, and future risks on values, among others, at scale — things that auction data alone could never provide.

Human-centered AI at its core

We build AI systems to empower humans, not to replace them. Our AI systems are human-controlled, accountable, open-box; they are building, scaling, and speeding up expertise without replacing it, thereby making our AI systems accessible and empowering.

The LAB is where we co-create

Since 2022, our Wondeur LAB has been a hub of continuous, active collaborations. In the LAB, we regularly invite market players to experiment with our latest innovations, contribute insights on their implications, and their safety. This inclusive approach has shaped all our systems and will continue to guide their evolution.

We are a team of senior AI researchers headquartered in Toronto, with team members spread across six different cities in North America and Europe
